THE EDUCATION CRISIS
In Sub-Saharan Africa, only 9% of people are enrolled in tertiary education vs 77% in Europe and North America (UNESCO UIS, 2023). Graduates increase earnings, are more environmentally conscious, live healthier, contribute to greater tax revenues, benefiting society as a whole (Worldbank, 2024)
THE CHALLENGE
Rural-to-urban migration causes brain drain, further weakening local communities and economies. According to the IOM, over 80% of internal migrants in many Sub-Saharan countries are youth seeking education or employment in cities (2022).
OUR MISSION RESPONSE
Empower underserved youth through a scalable hybrid university model with highquality digital learning and onsite facilitation. UNESCO’s Global Education Monitoring Report (2023) highlights hybrid learning as a great strategy to expand access and equity in education.
OUR ULTIMATE GOAL
Foster entrepreneurship for local business creation and sustainable community development.
According to UNDP, youth-led entrepreneurship is the most effective driver of employment in low-income rural areas (2022).
