3. Information about tax-exempt non-profit status

In accordance with its Articles of Association, the company pursues exclusively and directly tax-privileged purposes within the meaning of Section 52 (2) sentence 1 nos. 5, 7, 8 and 15 of the German Fiscal Code (Abgabenordnung)—namely the promotion of arts & culture, education and student support, environmental and climate protection, and development cooperation.With its Freistellungsbescheid (notice of exemption) dated 6 June 2025 on corporate income tax and trade tax for the assessment period 2023, the Karlsruhe-Stadt Tax Office confirmed Liberating Education Organization gUG’s charitable status (§ 5 (1) no. 9 KStG; § 3 no. 6 GewStG). 6. Staff Structure

As of July 2025, Liberating Education Organization gUG operates entirely through voluntary engagement:Paid staff (full-time, part-time, mini-job, contract): none
Volunteers: all organisational and programme tasks are carried out by an all-volunteer team (see our Team page for current names and roles). No monetary compensation is granted; volunteers receive reimbursements only for documented out-of-pocket expenses when applicable.

7. Sources of Funding

Total income in 2024 amounted to € 54 000, coming from three main streams:
Individual donations: € 29 000  (~ 54 %)
Sponsorships: € 10 000  (~ 19 %)
Other income (charity gala): € 15 000  (~ 28 %)No revenue was received from foundations, government grants, or service fees in 2024.

8. Use of Funds

Total expenditure in 2024: € 58 000
Programme / project costs:
€ 48 000 (≈ 83 %) – course materials, partner-site travel, participant stipends
Fund-raising costs: € 7 000 (≈ 12 %) – charity gala venue, ticketing platform, campaign design
Administrative costs: € 2 000 (≈ 3 %) – accounting, legal compliance, office supplies
Other (licensing & server infrastructure): € 1 000 (≈ 2 %)

9. Legal Affiliation

Liberating Education Organization gUG has no legal affiliations.

10. Major Donors ( ≥ 10 % of Annual Budget )

In the 2024 financial year no single private individual, company, or institution contributed 10 % or more of our total income (€ 54 000). Should any future donation or grant reach or exceed this threshold, we will list the donor’s name and the exact share here without delay.
