In April 2025, we proudly opened our first standalone hybrid learning center in Kilgoris Town, Kenya – a major step in our mission to provide inclusive, high-quality education in underserved regions.

While our first center in Kilgoris, opened in January 2024, is located at the remote Sirua Aulo Secondary School and only accessible to enrolled boarding students, this new center in the town center breaks that barrier: it is freely accessible to the entire community, offering both university-level digital courses and vocational training programs. It serves as a public, hybrid educational space where young people can learn, grow, and connect — regardless of their background or prior access to education.

This project would not have been possible without the outstanding commitment and local leadership of our partners on the ground. We are especially grateful to Emmanuel Tesur, whose vision, tireless coordination, and trust made this center a reality, and to Sharon Tesur, whose continuous community engagement and operational support have helped us implement the project with great care and integrity.

We are deeply excited to test this new concept of community-based hybrid education centers and will closely monitor how it can serve as a blueprint for future expansion across East Africa. By offering free and flexible learning to youth beyond the school system, this center embodies our belief that education is a public good — and a pathway to liberation.
